Linda M. Dougherty is counsel to the Firm and practices in the Intellectual Property Practice Group. Ms. Dougherty’s practice includes trademark clearance, prosecution, and enforcement, trademark and copyright infringement litigation, TTAB practice, and advising clients in brand management and general intellectual property issues. Her experience also includes negotiating and drafting license agreements, consent agreements, distribution agreements, private label agreements, and other industry-specific agreements.

Prior to joining Kane Kessler, P.C., Ms. Dougherty was an associate in the New York office of a firm concentrating in intellectual property and food and drug law. She has significant experience advising clients on compliance with FDA labeling requirements and FTC advertising regulations and substantiation requirements.

During law school, Ms. Dougherty was a member of the Brooklyn Law Review and was awarded the CALI Award for Excellence in Legal Writing and the CALI Award for Excellence in Mass Media & the First Amendment.
